General Risk Acknowledgement and Liability Waiver

By registering for and participating in an activity organised by Active Zone Outdoor (AZO), I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Acknowledgement of Risks

I understand that participation in outdoor, sporting, recreational, educational, and adventure activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, physical injuries, accidents, adverse weather conditions, environmental hazards, equipment-related incidents, and other unforeseen circumstances.

I acknowledge that, although AZO takes reasonable measures to ensure participant safety, not all risks can be completely eliminated.

2. Health and Physical Condition

I confirm that I am able to participate in the activity, taking into consideration my health, physical abilities, and personal circumstances.

I agree to inform the organisers of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, disabilities, or other circumstances that may affect my safe participation or require additional support.

I understand that it is my responsibility to notify the organisers if my health or physical condition changes before or during the activity.

3. Safety Briefing and Guidance

I understand that AZO, through its organisers, instructors, or authorised personnel, will provide relevant information, safety instructions, and guidance before and, where necessary, during the activity.

This may include information about potential risks, appropriate behaviour, the correct use of equipment, safety procedures, and emergency arrangements.

I acknowledge that I will have the opportunity to ask questions or request clarification if any instructions are unclear.

I understand that safety instructions may be updated during the activity in response to changing conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

4. Compliance with Safety Instructions

I agree to follow all instructions, safety guidelines, and directions provided by the organisers, instructors, and authorised personnel before and throughout the activity.

I agree to use any equipment provided or approved by the organisers appropriately and in accordance with the instructions received.

I understand that failure to comply with safety instructions or engaging in behaviour that may endanger myself or others may result in my exclusion from the activity.

5. Voluntary Participation and Personal Responsibility

I acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and that I am responsible for acting reasonably and responsibly throughout the activity.

I agree to remain attentive to my surroundings, respect other participants, and avoid actions that may compromise my safety or the safety of others.

I understand that I may choose to stop participating in an activity at any time if I feel uncomfortable, unwell, or unsafe, and I agree to inform the organisers accordingly.

6. Emergency Assistance

In the event of an accident, injury, or medical emergency, I understand that AZO and its authorised personnel may contact emergency services, provide appropriate assistance within their competence, and take reasonable steps to arrange necessary medical support.

I understand that relevant information may be shared with emergency responders or healthcare professionals when necessary and legally permitted to protect my health and safety.

7. Liability and Acceptance of Risks

I acknowledge and voluntarily accept the inherent risks associated with participation in the activity, including risks that may remain despite appropriate safety measures.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, I agree that Active Zone Outdoor, its organisers, instructors, staff, and volunteers shall not be held liable for injury, loss, or damage arising solely from the inherent risks of the activity, where such injury, loss, or damage is not attributable to their negligence, breach of legal duty, or other unlawful conduct.

Nothing in this declaration excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

8. Participants Under 18 Years of Age

For participants under the age of 18, registration and participation require the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

The parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read and understood this declaration, have provided relevant information concerning the minor's health and participation needs, and authorise the minor to participate in the activity.

Nothing in this declaration limits the legal rights of minors or the responsibilities of AZO under applicable law.

9. Final Acknowledgement

By accepting this declaration, I confirm that:

  • I have read and understood the risks associated with participating in AZO activities.
  • I understand that relevant safety information and instructions will be provided before and, where necessary, during the activity.
  • I agree to follow the instructions and safety guidelines provided by the organisers and instructors.
  • I have provided accurate information relevant to my safe participation.
  • I understand my responsibilities as a participant.
  • I voluntarily agree to participate, acknowledging the inherent risks involved.
